Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trade Lane Director to join our team in the Southatlantic region. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and managing demand and supply in the designated trade lane, ensuring targeted growth is achieved in coordination with Sales and Product.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement strategies to drive volume growth in the assigned trade lane.
  2. Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to achieve targeted growth and revenue goals.
  3. Manage and optimize cargo and carrier mix to improve profitability in the lane.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry changes, market situations, and customer requirements, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  5. Develop new products and services to increase volumes and revenue.
  6. Identify top opportunities to drive growth and revenue.
  7. Provide support to Sales teams in the form of marketing campaigns, pricing, routing solutions, and internal/external presentations.
  8. Prepare and present quarterly action plans and progress reports to senior management.
Requirements
  1. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  2. Strong written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
  3. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Wintouch.
  4. Detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
  5. Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently.
  6. Strong negotiating skills.
  7. Able to travel extensively domestically and internationally.
Education and Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field or combination of education and experience.
  2. MBA is a plus.
  3. Minimum 5 years of successful international freight forwarding sales/operations experience.
  4. Extensive knowledge of import/export processes and laws.
  5. IATA certification as freight forwarder is desired.
Environment

This role will be performed in a climate-controlled internal office environment, with frequent travel required to support the position's responsibilities.
