Your Role

In this role, you will oversee the Ready-to-Wear and Special Accessories categories, reporting directly to the Operations Director. You will manage all aspects of bulk production, from sourcing raw materials (fabrics and trimmings) to the initiation of production orders and the delivery of finished products to distribution centers. Your collaboration will extend to teams in Merchandising, Sales, Demand Planning, Pattern Making, and Product Development, as well as Industrialization, Quality Management, warehouses, Raw Material Suppliers, and Finished Goods Vendors to ensure that production deliveries align with established internal KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise the entire bulk production cycle, from Raw Material Procurement to Planning and Production Oversight for both purchasing methods, BUY and MAKE. Develop and establish the internal seasonal planning calendar to ensure KPI fulfillment involving all relevant departments. Coordinate the production allocation process, taking into account all pertinent factors (capacity, quality, costs, and lead times) while engaging all relevant departments. Define the Master Production Plan in collaboration with internal teams. Manage the vendor portfolio and foster strong partnerships with external suppliers for Raw Materials and Finished Goods. Conduct vendor evaluations and development initiatives. Actively participate in strategic discussions regarding the sourcing strategy. Lead and develop three teams: the Raw Material Purchasing team, the Planning team, and the Production Control Team. Establish and monitor bulk production KPIs and associated reporting. Engage in strategic projects and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated alignment with the desired Alexander McQueen values. Prior experience in similar roles, preferably within the Fashion Industry. Proven experience in a managerial capacity. Degree in Engineering or Economics. Excellent communication skills. Highly organized, capable of prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. Strong analytical abilities. Proficiency in English and Italian. Skilled in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with Stealth, SAP, and Production Management systems is advantageous.
