About the Role

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Safety Technician to join its Prevention and Protection Service team.

In a rapidly growing environment, we need a proactive and results-driven individual who can take a step forward to ensure the Health and Safety of our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct Risk Assessments and verify the implementation of control measures until their completion.
  2. Prepare and submit daily reports on internal metrics and highlight any deviations.
  3. Analyze workplace safety data, including injury rates and Near Miss incidents.
  4. Utilize knowledge of Amazon's regulatory framework and procedures to conduct auditing activities and provide guidance to employees on safe working practices.
  5. Develop expertise in a specific area of responsibility while maintaining confidentiality of information.
  6. Continuously monitor the work environment, maintaining a high level of attention to safety requirements.
  7. Support incident investigations to determine root causes.
  8. Develop action plans to ensure continuous compliance with regulatory requirements.
  9. Maintain a professional demeanor, ensuring confidentiality of information during incident investigations.
  10. Ensure flexibility in scheduling to complete incident investigations, including willingness to work on weekends.
  11. Support the warehouse through the use of specific tools and digital platforms.
  12. Support the warehouse through ongoing training on health and safety topics.

A Day in the Life

  1. Verify previous shift information.
  2. Implement daily, weekly, or monthly routines.
  3. Conduct audits in all operational areas of the warehouse.
  4. Daily meetings with Operations to verify the implementation of safety procedures.
  5. Supervise and verify the safety management system.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Hold an ASPP qualification.
  2. Degree in Safety, Engineering, or other relevant fields, with a minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in the Safety sector (including internships).
  3. Alternatively, a high school diploma and a minimum of 2 years of experience as an ASPP/RSPP in production, production, or warehouse environments.
  4. Understanding of relevant safety regulations.
  5. Meticulous attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  7. Ability to work towards objectives and deadlines.
  8. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Minimum level of English A2.
  10. Proactivity and ability to use the Microsoft Office package and other infrastructure platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience in Lean, 5S, and Kaizen.
  2. Ability to work in a team and contribute to a positive and stimulating environment.
  3. Knowledge or experience with Gensuite or other EHS applications.
