Job Overview
Jensen Hughes is in search of a Fire Protection Engineer with a focus on the design of fire safety systems, particularly sprinkler systems, for our expanding office. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of fire engineering on-site, including inspections of fire protection and detection systems, public address/voice alarm systems, compartmentation, fire dampers, smoke extraction/pressurization systems, and fixed extinguishing/sprinkler systems.
Demonstrated experience in conducting fire risk assessments for various building types, including commercial, public, and industrial structures, with a focus on national and international codes and standards (CEN, UNI, NFPA, FMG).
Conduct functional testing and witness testing of all fire systems, perform regular site inspections to ensure compliance with local regulations, and collaborate with clients, architects, and other consultants to ensure fire systems meet approved specifications.

- Plan and direct engineering activities for your projects.
- Conduct building and fire code reviews and analyses.
- Design and commission fire suppression systems.
- Prepare and present technical reports and presentations.
- Contribute to business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience in code consulting, fire protection system design, and developing performance-based strategies in a project environment is essential.
- Registered Professional Engineer.
- Proficient in designing fire suppression systems.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written, is preferred. Jensen Hughes offers one-on-one English courses to address any gaps.
- Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to present clear and technically sound fire protection engineering strategies, along with strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team, embracing professional challenges and contributing to the long-term growth of Jensen Hughes.
