Job Title: Administrative Accountant

Job Summary:

Hotel De La Ville, a renowned 4-star luxury hotel, is seeking an experienced Administrative Accountant to join its team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and process invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
  • Maintain general ledger accounts, perform accounting reconciliations, and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Manage cost accounting and budgeting systems, including the use of spreadsheets
  • Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement
  • Interface with management to discuss financial performance and provide recommendations for cost savings and efficiency
  • Manage supplier payments, schedule management, and remote banking
  • Collaborate with the front-office team to verify client account balances
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external tax, labor, and accounting software consultancies
  • Digitally archive financial documents and maintain a secure and organized filing system

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Commercial Expert, or Commercial Technician, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in the hotel or catering sector
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software, including Opera management and Sysdat accounting software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with management and other stakeholders
  • Proficiency in English language
