Job Title: Sales Manager

Company: Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Limited

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Director of Sales and his team in consolidating the hotel within specific markets and market segments, securing business, and forging long-lasting relationships with key advisors and end-clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Proactively prospect new business and bring it to a close, generating new revenue streams for the property.
  • Client Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with the existing client base while fostering new ones.
  • Quote Follow-up: Proactively follow up on quotations and actively engage with clients to maximize conversion of business.
  • External Sales Appointments: Autonomously arrange external sales appointments, site inspections, and fam trips when appropriate and relevant for every segment.
  • Database Management: Input activity on the hotel's database, ensuring time efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Departmental Meetings: Attend departmental meetings when requested by the DOS.
  • Availability: Remain available to hotel colleagues via mobile phone while on property.
  • Objectives: Meet the objectives as set forth by the Director of Sales.
  • Company Philosophy: Support the company's philosophy and culture through the use of Departmental Legendary Quality Experiences on a daily basis to ensure Guest Satisfaction and the achievement of our Mission Statement.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge: Knowledge in Leisure, MICE, and Corporate sales.
  • Market Knowledge: Knowledge of the Italian Market.
  • Strategic Account Management: Strategic Account Management on assigned markets.
  • Presentation Skills: Strong presentation skills.
  • Travel: Available to frequently travel abroad.
  • Language: Fluent in English and Italian languages.
  • Network: Brings in a personal network of clients.
  • Mindset: Has a proactive mindset.
  • Closing Business: Understands the importance of closing the business.
  • Team Player: Team-player.
  • Technical Skills: Technically skilled with good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package.
  • Client Interaction: Charming and positive approach to clients and colleagues.
  • Problem Solving: Problem solving attitude.
  • Site Inspections: Weekly site inspections showcasing the property.
  • Regional Sales Offices: Liaise with Regional Sales Offices worldwide.
