Italy Sales Operations Manager

The Sales Manager plays a crucial role in driving and sustaining sales efforts for current clientele while also exploring new market opportunities for Kubota engines. This position serves as the primary contact for all interactions and communications between distributors, clients, and Kubota.

Key Responsibilities

Kubota stands as a premier manufacturer of industrial engines, renowned for its quality and performance. Our operations are B2B (Business to Business), focusing on partnerships rather than direct sales to end consumers. Typically, inquiries arise from our established customers or prospective clients, owing to the esteemed reputation of Kubota engines and the long-term projects that our clients undertake (budget planning). Nurturing existing customer relationships enhances sales and expands market presence, leading to new business prospects with potential clients. This cycle is fundamental to our operations. Our clientele consists of manufacturers of industrial machinery, with a focus on engaging with their purchasing and engineering divisions.

Engage with counterparts in the Sales and Marketing department at Kubota headquarters in Japan to oversee projects (including project development, quotations, engine specification approvals, production, and delivery processes).

Facilitate project coordination with Kubota's engineering team to ensure alignment with our engineering protocols.

Develop and uphold a travel itinerary that reflects dedication to the designated territory, scheduling regular visits with clients.

Stay informed on market trends and requirements, utilizing data analysis to provide insights or recommend solutions based on theoretical knowledge, principles, and technology.

- Oversee and track the status of deliveries between Kubota Japan and Kubota Europe.

Plan business travel within Kubota Europe and to the headquarters in Japan.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A strong desire to learn and deepen knowledge about our product offerings.

Ability to maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

Engage with customers and counterparts in Japan with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Assess our market positioning and propose innovative ideas for business development.

A professional level of written and spoken English is essential.

Documentation of customer visits and monthly sales reports in English is mandatory.

Educational Background and Experience

An Associate's degree in a relevant discipline or considerable experience across various roles.

A minimum of 5 years' experience in the sales of industrial products.

Additional Information

Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to travel by air.

Remote work is permitted twice a week, with exceptions during training periods.
