Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Standards Lead to join our Engineering Design & Construction team at the City of New York. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our standards program and records management program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Standards Program Management: Develop, implement, and maintain technical design standards, project management standard operating procedures, and construction specifications.
  • Records Management: Manage the bureau's record document library and ensure that all documents are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that quality control measures are in place to ensure the accuracy and consistency of design deliverables.
  • Training and Development: Identify developmental needs for subordinates and recommend training programs to improve staff skills and knowledge.
  • Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that standards and procedures are communicated effectively throughout the organization.
Requirements
  • Education: A valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer.
  • Experience: Six (6) years of full-time satisfactory experience in engineering, at least two (2) years of which must have been in an executive, managerial, or administrative capacity.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organization, writing, and public speaking skills. Preference may be given to candidates with LEED and/or Envision accreditation, CSI accreditation, and PMP accreditation.
