Key Responsibilities- Develop a deep understanding of mechanical engineering requirements for each project
- Study and become familiar with elementary system drawings, conveyor manifests, and equipment knowledge
- Estimate mechanical hours and support with change orders
- Provide technical interface with customer project representatives
- Define project scope and conduct 3D model reviews, system level reviews, and equipment installation issue resolution
- Execute mechanical change orders and manage customer specifications and standards
- Mentor and navigate issues with less experienced Project Engineers
- Prioritize, organize, and manage time effectively
- Develop, maintain, and assist with creating a mechanical engineering schedule
- Thoroughly grasp project contract documents and execute the project within budget and hours
- Provide extensive technical support for Project Engineers, vendors, field installation personnel, and engineering sub-contractors
- Host weekly meetings with project team members and customers
- Delegate and monitor tasks given to project engineers and other engineering team members
- Assist Procurement with ordering long lead items
- Maintain project-specific requirements while applying general knowledge of conveying systems and customer specifications
- Communicate project-specific information with other departments
- Release drawings for installation and fabrication
- Create material purchase requests
- Relate information regarding changes to scope of work for the project
- Communicate status updates to engineering management
- 6-10 years of material handling equipment experience, preferably in the conveyor systems industry
- Experience with executing and supporting multiple mid to large projects
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering and design
- Travel requirements: some international travel required +/- 15%
