About the Role
Vetropack is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Group Inspection & Packaging Performance Manager. As a key member of our Technical Performance department, you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence and improving performance across our Cold End areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inspection and packaging processes, ensuring operational safety, effectiveness, and product quality.
- Lead performance improvement programs across the group, driving strategic goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with Cold End managers and production specialists to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
- Define and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess process effectiveness.
- Develop and implement operational excellence and continuous improvement culture within the organization.
- Coordinate and complete projects on time and within budget, overseeing all aspects of project management.
- Plan and manage budgets and resources for the area of responsibility.
- Develop training programs for inspection and packaging processes, ensuring best practice exchange within the organization.
- Perform regular audits of inspection and packaging processes, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform administrative activities necessary for effective department management, including employee selection and development, production scheduling, salary administration, and cost control.
Requirements
- Higher technical or mechanical education.
- 5+ years of experience in the glass industry, specifically in the Cold End area.
- 3+ years of experience in project management of similar areas.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CAD, and MES (manufacturing execution system).
- 6Sigma, Continuous Improvement Skills, and Quality Management experience are advantageous.
- Willingness to travel 50% of working time.
- English language proficiency at C1 level or higher, with Italian and German language skills a plus.
