The Child Welfare Services Coordinator III in the Child Protective Services division operates under the guidance of a Family Services Supervisor. This position encompasses program management and addresses intricate responsibilities such as investigating allegations of child maltreatment, neglect, and managing out-of-home placements. The role includes providing testimony in judicial settings and facilitating the placement of children into foster or adoptive care.

Professionals in this role engage with a variety of stakeholders and influence outcomes through active participation in task forces, strategic initiatives, mentoring, educational outreach, and community engagement. They are responsible for crafting and executing service plans tailored for children and their guardians, while diligently maintaining records throughout the client’s journey with the agency. Furthermore, they collaborate with auxiliary organizations including Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts, law enforcement entities, and mental health specialists.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a Human Services discipline or equivalent professional experience, alongside specialized training in relevant program areas. Candidates should demonstrate a robust understanding of social work principles, applicable laws and regulations, effective interviewing techniques, and more. Proficiency in computer usage and possession of a valid driver’s license are essential.
