Operability Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Operability Engineer to join our team at Alstom. As an Operability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our rolling stock.
Key Responsibilities- Operability Context Analysis: Identify the operability context of the rolling stock to be developed and perform an analysis of the rolling stock's source requirements regarding operation within the operability context.
- Gaps Identification and Management: Identify gaps in the above analysis and manage these gaps together with the project team in the tender and contract execution phase to define the operational use cases and human interfaces for all involved users.
- Operability Analysis Process Verification: Verify the operability analysis process outcomes with all necessary verification means, including modeling and simulation means.
- Requirement Allocation and Support: Assist the System Engineers in allocating derived requirements to subsystems and provide support on operability-related questions by preparing local trainings when appropriate.
- Operability Knowledge Growth: Exchange with the operability-related community to grow operability knowledge, either personally or from colleagues.
- Master of Engineering: A Master of Engineering degree from a university with a minimum of five years of experience in engineering.
- System Engineering Experience: Working experience in system engineering on large-scale projects at various stages in the project lifecycle and within railway operators, maintainers, and manufacturers.
- Product Type Experience: Experience on different product types, including regional trains and main lines.
- Railway Operability Aspects: Awareness of different railway operability aspects, including operational environment, operational needs, and operability procedures.
- Complex Systems Analysis: Ability for analysis and understanding of complex systems engineering cases.
- Technical Writing and Communication: Technical writing, requirement elicitation, and formalization, as well as the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate with external stakeholders.
- Language Skills: Good communication skills in English.
