About the Position
This position is part of the Operations Industrial Engineering team and is tasked with crafting a digital transformation strategy. The role focuses on developing a digital manufacturing ecosystem that integrates with ERP systems and manufacturing machinery, creating a seamless, traceable, and paperless production process enhanced by AI capabilities where applicable. Responsibilities include defining and detailing the digital ecosystem, leading the design and implementation phases with both internal and external suppliers, overseeing realization, and ensuring a smooth transition to operational teams. Additionally, the role emphasizes continuous improvement and challenging existing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Spearheading the development of the Digital Transformation Strategy
- Analyzing and specifying the digital manufacturing ecosystem, including relevant interfaces and collaboration with suppliers (MES/APS, shop-edge/data lake, AI, interfaces, track & trace, digital labor management)
- Establishing project execution plans, deliverables, timelines, and budgets
- Creating detailed architecture and specifications for systems
- Researching and evaluating suppliers, collaborating to secure firm offers
- Conducting joint detailed engineering during the design phase with suppliers, ensuring alignment with specifications, performance, and cost objectives
- Supporting and guiding the installation and commissioning of systems until handover to operations
- Ensuring timely execution of defined projects within allocated budgets
- Promoting continuous improvement and identifying opportunities for advancements in digital manufacturing
- Participating as a member of an international, cross-functional project team
- Upholding corporate social responsibility principles
