Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Data Scientist to contribute to our analytics initiatives at Sky. In this position, you will leverage data science methodologies and analytical techniques to address real-world business challenges across diverse domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute data processing tasks including extraction, mining, preparation, quality assurance, KPI enhancement, modeling, validation, and deriving business insights.
  • Utilize sophisticated analytical methods within a big data framework, integrating multiple data sources.
  • Design and implement machine learning and deep learning models for various cross-functional applications aimed at enhancing customer value and operational effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master's Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science) or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of relevant industry experience in predictive modeling, data analysis, and data science.
  • Proficient in data wrangling and preparation techniques, including exploratory analysis, profiling, cleansing, feature selection, engineering, segmentation, clustering, and PCA.
  • Strong command of programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, along with data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, XGBoost) and MLOps tools (e.g., Git, Airflow, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with machine learning/deep learning libraries like scikit-learn, caret, mlr, mllib, Keras, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing resources, integrated development environments (IDEs), and version control systems (e.g., Git) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in utilizing GPUs for model development.
  • Preferred experience in Natural Language Processing and Cognitive applications.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize tasks, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in both Italian and English.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing or advertising is an advantage.
