Automotive Connectivity Systems Engineer

Role Overview:

The position involves the development and management of innovative online features for connected vehicles. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of automotive connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate concepts for advanced Connected Car online functionalities.
  • Draft, update, and publish specification documents for Connected Car online services, including both high and low-level functional requirements, Backend API specifications, diagnostic specifications, and end-of-line procedures.
  • Establish and assign technical requirements, collaborating with the E/E R&D Team to define and evaluate interfaces.
  • Coordinate technical aspects with project stakeholders, external vendors, and service providers to ensure successful implementation of defined functionalities.
  • Work alongside testing and validation teams to verify the accurate execution of Connected Car features.
  • Investigate reported issues and offer technical assistance to project stakeholders.
  • Oversee system and sub-system configurations to effectively implement online services for the fleet.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Information Technology, Vehicle Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in online services, vehicle functionalities, or in-vehicle infotainment development.
  • Understanding of vehicle architectures and automotive communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
  • Knowledgeable in networking protocols and backend system architectures.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and homologation issues within the automotive industry.
  • Proficient in both Italian and English; knowledge of German is an advantage.
  • Desirable: Experience with the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence) and Vector tool suite.
  • Experience with test benches, validation processes, and diagnostic tools.
