Position Overview

The Inside Sales Account Manager will oversee sales operations within a designated region, focusing on nurturing existing client relationships while identifying and securing new accounts. This role collaborates closely with Field Sales and the Inside Sales Manager to optimize revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the sales process for specific territories and accounts primarily through phone and email communication, with potential for field visits as necessary.
  • Achieve sales objectives and maintain accurate forecasts, ensuring the CRM database is current with contact and opportunity details.
  • Engage with current customers and qualified leads, guiding them to Illumina's products that align with their needs, while coordinating with internal teams to resolve inquiries and provide tailored quotes.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Generation Specialist team on prospecting efforts to identify new accounts and opportunities.
  • Work in conjunction with the broader sales team, including Technical Account Managers, Inside Sales Account Managers, Sales Specialists, and Service Contracts team.
  • Build and sustain strong, positive relationships with customer accounts, including end-users and management contacts.
  • Track and report all sales activities to management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in English and Italian is essential.
  • Familiarity with genetic analysis techniques (PCR, NGS, Sanger, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Ability to quickly comprehend and articulate complex technical concepts.
  • Exceptional listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving collective sales goals.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record in sales, particularly with technical products, is preferred but other sales experiences will be considered.
