Organizational Overview: FAO plays a crucial role in supporting the transformation to more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable agrifood systems, contributing to better production, nutrition, environment, and overall quality of life. The Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity, and Environment (OCB) is instrumental in addressing the challenges posed by climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation.

OCB provides cross-organizational coordination on climate change and environmental issues, acting as the focal point for major multilateral environmental agreements. The office also aids FAO Members in tackling interconnected challenges related to food security and environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage GEF project resources, ensuring compliance with operational policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and capacity building for the FAO-GEF community regarding financial management of GEF resources.
• Conduct research and analysis on programmatic aspects, contributing to policy coordination and evaluation functions.
• Prepare analytical reports on GEF project resource utilization, identifying potential risks and proposing solutions.
• Liaise with various stakeholders, including FAO corporate units and GEF Agencies, on resource-related matters.

Qualifications:
• Advanced university degree in business administration, public administration, international studies, economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in project or program management, administration, or a related area.
• Proficient in English and possess limited knowledge of another FAO official language.
