Role Overview

The Senior Specialist in Large Corporate Support will be an integral part of the Network Operations team, operating within a global framework characterized by cross-functional teams across various regions.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the Fixed Core Network Operations team in both proactive and reactive scenarios.
  • Leading initiatives aimed at developing network automation solutions while enhancing KPIs and SLAs related to customer satisfaction and network reliability.
  • Collaborating with the Fixed Core Network Operations team to deliver exceptional services to Vodafone's clientele.

Decision-Making Authority and Accountability

  • Ensure the operation and maintenance of the Fixed Core Network infrastructure.
  • Manage incidents and problems to guarantee full service availability.
  • Assist the team in achieving cybersecurity objectives and implementing automation tools.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Extensive understanding of Internet and Networking technologies at the ISP/Telco level, including:
    • L3VPN / L2VPN
    • BRAS
    • CORE IMS / SIP Protocols
    • CPE
    • MPLS/ISIS/BGP Protocols
    • Multicast
    • DNS
    • Radius Protocol
    • IPv4/IPv6
  • Profound knowledge of Cisco and Huawei routing and switching technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A customer-centric mindset.

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Electronics, or Telecommunications.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in Operations and Maintenance of ISP/Telco IP Transport Networks.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian.
  • Experience in Network Automation/DEVOPS; familiarity with Python is advantageous.
  • Experience with Virtual Machines is a plus.
