As part of the esteemed Luxury Group of Marriott International, we are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Receiving Clerks. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our purchasing and logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the receipt, unloading, and processing of deliveries, ensuring accuracy based on invoices and receiving documentation.
  • Organize merchandise by department, marking items appropriately for storage and facilitating their delivery to the relevant departments.
  • Maintain precise records within the internal company system to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct verification and tracking of received inventory, completing necessary reports and updates in company systems.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to reconcile shipping invoices with receiving reports, ensuring accuracy in counts.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing packages and mail, securing the receiving area and ensuring the safekeeping of all items.
  • Adhere to local regulations regarding hazardous materials during shipping processes.
  • Oversee the shipping of outgoing mail and packages, ensuring proper verification of quantity and condition upon receipt.
  • Engage with guests regarding their received packages, maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Implement an accurate tracking system for all shipping and receiving transactions, including obtaining guest signatures for received items.
  • Report any discrepancies or damages related to packages to the appropriate management.

Qualifications

  • A positive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for logistics and operational excellence.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Birchstreet or similar systems is preferred.
