Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Library and Information Specialist to join our Global Library Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing customer-oriented support by implementing a tailored approach to bibliographic resources.

Main Responsibilities

  • Document Delivery Service Management: Oversee the management of the document delivery service and correlated tools, contributing to the scouting of new bibliographic resources and potential customer-oriented implementations.
  • Bibliographic Support Service: Provide tailored bibliographic searches and analyses pertaining to all therapeutic areas of interest in support of end-users and SKAI colleagues.
  • Customers Education: Implement a continuous learning training program on bibliographic resources available in the Global Library to support end-users in their professional developments and daily activities.
  • Alerting Services: Collaborate with the scientific knowledge team to contribute to the News Alerting service activities.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years' experience in information gathering and bibliographic research within a pharma company, particularly in scientific/external data and information management.
  • Master's degree in biotechnology, biology, or other scientific subjects.
  • Fluent in written and oral English.
  • Good knowledge of sources, tools, and databases for the retrieval of scientific information.
  • Good knowledge of drug development process.
  • Possibly basic knowledge of scientific library processes.
  • Familiarity with Chiesi Therapeutic Areas.
  • Computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Office applications/software.
  • Soft skills: communication skills, creative/innovative mindset, planning and organizational skills, adaptability and flexibility, team working.
