We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operational Procurement Specialist to join our team at Tn Italy. As an Operational Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring that all purchases are made in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities- Process purchase orders and follow the expediting process to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Clarify issues with suppliers and communicate with them regarding demand, volume, and delivery times to reduce transaction costs.
- Execute purchasing processes following guiding principles from category management to ensure compliance with procurement policies and statutory requirements.
- Support Finance with invoice verification and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Onboard new suppliers, manage and update data in systems, and execute purchasing processes based on framework agreements.
- Follow processes, guidelines, and procurement policies to ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in a transparent and accountable manner.
- Strive for automation and digitalization practices and tool improvement to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure cost, availability, innovation, and quality within the sourcing plan creation and execution.
- Accountable for agreed KPIs and their reporting to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with business objectives.
- Manage price lists and coordinate, manage, and control materials shipments to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Interact with vendors, production, QA, production planners, shipping, technical departments, and other company colleagues to ensure constant information and material availability.
- Manage suppliers to fulfill on-time delivery KPIs and develop relationships between GEA and business partners.
- Implement industrial standards and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Focus on continuous improvement and efficiency to ensure that procurement activities are conducted in a cost-effective and timely manner.
- Analyze and proactively use Materials Requirements Program (MRP) and other systems to determine raw materials/items needs for production/spare parts.
- Experience in operational procurement roles with a strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures.
- Essential ability to work in a team environment, even in a stressful environment, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Work experience in complex organizations, negotiation experience, cost and data analysis, exposure to manufacturing/service operations, and financial and business understanding are highly desirable.
- English language proficiency is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization, problem-solving skills, and takes ownership of work, successes, and failures.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, MS Office knowledge, and knowledge of shipping, customs clearance, and logistics processes are highly desirable.
- Availability to short business trips is required.
