Position Summary
Our client is eager to enhance their team in Nicosia by hiring a Tax Manager. The ideal candidate will be a qualified ACA/ACCA professional with at least three years of experience in the taxation sector. This role is perfect for a driven and dedicated individual seeking to advance their career.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with management to devise and execute strategic tax planning and policies ensuring compliance with Cyprus tax regulations.
  • Offer expert advice and consultation on tax-efficient structures, addressing direct tax issues and associated risks.
  • Identify and implement enhancements in the company's tax processes.
  • Recognize and present direct tax opportunities and risks in accordance with tax laws, established practices, and double tax treaties.
  • Conduct tax audits for clients and prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings and recommendations for rectifying any identified discrepancies.
  • Manage multiple client engagements, planning, executing, directing, and completing tax assignments across various industries and jurisdictions, including complex areas of Cyprus tax legislation.
  • Assist in the preparation of Transfer Pricing studies for clients, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and OECD Guidelines.

Candidate Profile
  • Possession of a university degree (BSc) in law, taxation, accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA).
  • Minimum of three years of relevant supervisory experience in an audit firm, tax practice, or related consultancy/advisory firm.
  • Thorough understanding of Cyprus tax legislation.
  • Ability to comprehend laws related to direct taxation in Cyprus and other jurisdictions.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in both Greek and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • IT literate.
