**Job Description Summary**: DMP Engineering specialist will lead Direct Material Productivity initiatives acting as liaison with Leadership Team. He/She will operate within the cross-functional team with Sourcing and Supplier Quality and support the generation and assessment of “buy” cost out initiatives for Engineering section. She/He will implement the initiatives approved by Program / Sourcing according to the relevant Engineering processes (especially CID) obviously in line with margin expansion Deployment Model. Crucial activity is the new ideas generation to cover cost gaps by developing technical solutions in agreement with the HW Owners, the System Engineers, the EMS Team and the CTH Community. This new role will also incorporate important VCP tool cost role in engineering Lean KPO team supporting all cost reduction initiatives using appropriate VCP tools.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Analyze Cost gaps on part numbers/modules by making use of the digital tools available or by working on generating suitable cost tools promoting the cost culture.
- Leverage the available cost analysis tools and guide the DMP ideas generation exploring all possible solutions.
- Participate/lead AWOs at supplier sourcing in technical reviews/negotiations at supplier site.
- Coordinate, from Engineering side, the execution of the approved ideas by ensuring OTD of high-quality job according to the Engineering processes (especially design change).
- Participate to the Operating Rhythm defined by the Cost out leader within sourcing department and support the activities of prioritizations of the task and work elbow to elbow in cross functional teams (Sourcing, Engineering, MAE, Sourcing quality)

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Master’s degree in mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering
- Experience in Mechanical Design
- Experience in static structures design of aeronautical product
- Knowledge of structural analysis
- Knowledge of manufacturing process
- Knowledge of Validation and Certification process
- English and Italian language knowledge, both written and oral
- EU Work Permit
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
