Corporate Communications Manager

HVM is looking for a strong storyteller to build broad awareness for our holding, our companies, and our employees with a focus on brand and marketing communications.

The Corporate Communications Manager will be responsible for proactive and reactive media relations and messaging to support the company and its leaders. You will need to influence both internal and external stakeholders.

Working with the Leadership and Management team, this experienced communications will develop plans, messages and materials to help build Human Vs Machine a profile with key audiences in the tech, digital, and business press.

This role will also support the team with employee communications and crisis management issues as needed.

**Your Profile and Responsibilities**
- You’ll develop and execute strategic PR plans and tell proactive stories to help build Human Vs Machine brand
- You’ll develop and execute Marketing Plan of all the subsidiaries companies of the holding: CharityStars, PED, IDA
- You’ll lead a small team of marketing operations (Designer, Performance Specialist, Social Media Manager)
- You’ll write articles, blog posts, press releases, and other external materials
- You’ll develop key messages, talking points, and briefing materials for spokespeople
- You’ll build and maintain relationships with key tech and business reporters both in Italy and US
- You’ll develop and lead global communications strategy to drive awareness of employee programs and processes with a goal of improving the employee experience
- You’ll create metrics to measure communication effectiveness, reach, and engagement
- You’ll act as a trusted partner to peers and executives
- You’ll secure and support speaking opportunities for company executives
- You’ll craft collateral and press materials needed to deliver results
- You’ll help to manage company response in the event of crises, working quickly and effectively
- You’ll assist with internal comms initiatives as needed

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing Communications, Business Administration or related field
- 5+ years of experience managing Communications in one of the following areas: Marketing, Technical, Product and/or Technology
- Strong, established relationships with a broad range of media and outlets
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Fluent command of Italian and English - both verbal and written
- Comfort acting as a company spokesperson
- Experience at a high-growth technology/media company or startup
- Flexibility: you’re willing and able to work in non-traditional shift patterns-possibly including nights and weekends
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite systems including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Apple and Google Suite

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Advanced degree (technical or MBA) from an accredited university
- Project Management Professional or equivalent certification
- Possess a strategic approach to problem solving
- Able to anticipate potential reputation issues
- Strong understanding of capabilities necessary to lead in large scale, rapidly growing, highly innovative organizations
- Strong writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to transform complex information into actionable and easy to understand content
- Experience developing relevant content for a diverse, remote and mobile workforce
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
- Ability to exercise high judgement, particularly in a narrow timeframes
- Strong project management, time management, organizational skills, facilitating work for teams that are responsible for cross-functional deliverables
- Prior experience in a start-up environment.
- Graphics and design experience is highly desirable

The position reports to the CEO and will work in partner with the Management Team and the Executive Assistant, at Human Vs machine and the other subsidiaries companies.

The role will be based in Milan, with weekly smart working days.
