This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in the application of national and international Health and Safety (H&S) regulations within a dynamic environment of the fashion industry, encompassing corporate offices, showrooms, retail stores, and warehouses.

Internship Objectives:

  • Assist the H&S team in ensuring company compliance with current laws and regulations (e.g., Italian Legislative Decree 81/08 - D.Lgs. 81/08) in the countries where our stores are located.
  • Learn and apply specific risk assessment and management methodologies for the fashion/retail sector.

The intern will be involved in the following areas, working under the supervision of a dedicated H&S Tutor:

1. Documentation and Administrative Support

  • Documentation Management: Help organize, file, and keep mandatory documents up-to-date, such as the Risk Assessment Document (DVR), Interference Risk Document (DUVRI), inspection reports, and various registers.
  • Reporting: Support data collection and the preparation of periodic reports on safety indicators (e.g., accidents, non-conformities, observations).
  • Communications: Draft internal communications related to safety procedures, training schedules, or regulatory updates for personnel.

2. Training and Awareness

  • Course Organization: Provide support in organizing employee training courses.
  • Informational Materials: Contribute to the creation of awareness and informative materials regarding safety best practices.

3. Monitoring and Auditing

  • Site Inspections: Accompany the H&S team during site visits across different company locations (offices, ateliers, stores, warehouses) to verify the correct application of safety procedures.
  • Safety Checks: Verify the proper maintenance and availability of safety devices (e.g., fire extinguishers, first aid kits, Personal Protective Equipment - PPE).

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (or current enrollment in a degree program) in Engineering (Environmental, Management, Safety) or related disciplines.
  • Strong interest and, preferably, a basic understanding of D.Lgs. 81/08, primary workplace safety and environmental regulations, and the ISO 45001 Management System.
  • Excellent organizational skills, precision in document management, a collaborative team-player attitude, and proactive approach.
  • Fluent knowledge of English and Italian is essential.
