THE ROLE
The Italian team is responsible for covering the Italian market. The strategy for the coming years in Italy is to further grow the Bolsius brand, within existing channels and customers, and beyond. We have a good market position in Italy where we have grown over the years, and are present across different channels, both in retail and Foodservice.
The Italian team consists of 5 colleagues and is managed by the Sales Manager who oversees operations. As National Account Manager, you focus on driving growth and maintaining key relationships within customers.
You are supported by the Sales Assistant & Order Entry colleague. Next to that, the Italian team has a Financial Manager and Accounting Assistant.
You will work in a hybrid job: party in our sales office in Legnano (Italy) and partly from home.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As National Account Manager Italy, you are responsible for:
- The revenue and margin growth of the assigned territory including all national customers;
- Creating and taking care of the implementation of the account and category management plans on the multi-year sales plan in order to realize structural revenue and margin growth;
- The preparation, monitoring and implementation of annual account plans for both new customers and existing customers, which include the following elements:
- Product range: increasing weighted distribution;
- Optimize category and brand presentation;
- Realize activation and promotion plans;
Make condition and price agreements
Developing, monitoring and realizing an accurate and reliable sales forecast (in collaboration with demand planning);
- Co-building the optimum distribution policy for existing products and new innovations;
- Being the representative of the territory in the internal organization by observing and determining customer and market needs, providing feedback to the internal departments and stakeholder management;
- Act as Sales expert for Trade Marketing and Category Management departments and provide input on projects related to development of displays, PR, advertising and New Product Development;
- Provide input for and contribute to the definition of medium-term sales strategy and short-term targets, channel strategies and connected commercial / business structure in cooperation with the Sales Manager Italy;
- Translating the overall Bolsius strategy in a dedicated territory strategic plan;
- Lead the cross functional team meetings with demand planning, customer service, finance, shopper and the marketing team.
REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for a strong commercial, passionate and results driven National Account Manager. You should bring the following qualifications:
- Bachelor / University education (MBA) in a commercial direction;
- At least 7+ years sales experience with FMCG in mass-market accounts, preferably supermarket / hypermarket with branded propositions;
- Experience in dealing / negotiating with senior buyers at leading companies in mass market channel (relationship management, influencing skills);
- Leadership and an entrepreneurial self-starter: Provides direction to customers and stakeholders that are needed to achieve the Bolsius ambition;
- Basic knowledge of and/or affinity with category management, marketing and trade marketing;
- Good analytical skills;
- Action and results oriented, decisive and performance motivated;
- Strong communication skills and sufficient command of English (verbal and written).
