The BOSS team (Business Operations & Supply Strategy) sits at the centre of Deliveroo's Commercial organisation. Our mission is to enable growth by turning complexity into clarity: transforming data into insights, insights into actions, and actions into measurable commercial impact.

As Deliveroo continues to scale, understanding what truly drives partner growth becomes increasingly complex. The Senior Commercial Business Analyst will play a critical role in cracking the growth equation for our partners by analysing large and complex datasets, identifying industry and consumer trends, and translating them into clear, actionable guidance for both frontline commercial teams and senior sales leadership.

This role sits at the intersection of data, strategy, and execution. You will be expected to operate comfortably at multiple levels: deep-diving into granular analyses, while also stepping back to frame the big picture and influence commercial direction.

About the role

As a Senior Commercial Business Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Analysing large, complex datasets to identify the key drivers of partner growth across supply, demand, pricing, promotions, and operational levers

  • Developing clear, actionable insights that help Account Managers improve partner performance through practical, tactical recommendations

  • Translating analytical findings into strategic narratives and recommendations for Sales and Commercial Leadership

  • Understanding and monitoring industry trends, competitive dynamics, and consumer behaviour to anticipate opportunities and risks

  • Measuring and improving the efficiency of commercial levers, including sales effectiveness, account coverage, and portfolio strategies

  • Building scalable reporting and analytical frameworks to support decision-making at both operational and leadership level

  • Acting as a thought partner to Commercial Operations, Sales, and Account Management teams, bridging data with real-world execution

  • Ensuring insights are simple, structured, and easy to act on, even when based on complex underlying analysis

Requirements

  • 4–5 years of experience in business analysis, commercial analytics, strategy, or a similar role in a data-rich environment

  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manage complex models, large datasets, and structured analytical frameworks

  • Strong data analysis capabilities, including the ability to interpret trends, identify causal relationships, and quantify impact

  • Experience using SQL to extract and manipulate data (strong plus)

  • Strong experience with Looker or similar BI and data visualisation platforms

  • Ability to move seamlessly from detail to big picture, adapting communication to different seniority levels

  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate numbers into commercial decisions

  • Clear, structured communication skills, both written and verbal
