most recognized Brand in the industry.

In our 4 venues, totaling 30 thousand sqm of events spaces, we host large conventions, fashion shows, product launches, fairs and gala dinners for some of the most recognized national and international Brands. Since 25 years, and counting, we also organize one of the most important events of the Milan Design Week.

For its headquarter in Milan, Superstudio Events is looking for an:

OPERATIONS MANAGER

The successful candidate will have the responsibility, following the overall strategy defined by the CEO and GM, to manage the core operations for all Milan venues: Sales, Business Development, Event Production, Marketing & Communication.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

  • Based on the overall strategy defined by the CEO / GM, organize, manage and monitor activities across core operations;
  • Ensure the integration of company functions and operations, maximizing synergies, efficiency and effectiveness, while promoting the constant improvement of internal processes;
  • Define, together with function leaders, sales and business development strategies aimed at maintaining the customer base and acquiring new customers;
  • Coordinate the event production resources to ensure smooth planning and realization of each event, with the highest possible quality standards, and to optimize the sale of production services, including AVL;
  • Together with function leaders, define, implement and measure the results of effective marketing and communication strategies across all levers (traditional and digital marketing, PR and communication);
  • Drive constant innovation of the sales model, the adoption of new and innovative solutions, and the development of new services;
  • Verify the correct common understanding and ensure a timely adoption of the defined solutions across the organization;
  • Promote and drive the adoption of technological solutions, both aimed at the optimization of internal processes and aimed at enabling new or better service offering to customers;
  • Oversee and contribute to the planning of day-to-day activities in all venues, including the management of events and relations with customers;
  • Ensure collection, quality and availability of all necessary data and drive the development of a data culture throughout the company;
  • Analyze data, monitor performance metrics and distill meaningful insights to inform data-based decisions and to identify inefficiencies, improve processes, increase productivity;
  • Maintain high standards of quality in terms of behaviors, services and maintenance of the event spaces;
  • Prepare and present to senior management effective reports on strategy and operational performance;
  • Monitor and control budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and manage procurement to optimize profitability;
  • Ensure an optimal management of all collaborators, promoting and facilitating fair and transparent interpersonal relationships aimed at achieving the company's objectives;
  • Actively mentor more junior resources, facilitating personal and professional growth.

MUST HAVE:

  • Unrelentless drive for delivering exceptional results;
  • Strong leadership and communication ability;
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking and operational excellence;
  • 5 to 10 years of working experience in people management roles, preferably in the corporate events sector (others creative industries – fashion and design - and strategy consulting would also be considered a plus);
  • Strong ability and interest in people management, listening attitude and empathy;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skill, with confidence in data analysis and data based decision making;
  • Synthesis ability, attention to details and total quality;
  • Master degree (preferably STEM);
  • Fluent written and spoken English.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Multiple years of experience in event production and working knowledge of AVL services;
  • Strong literacy in excel and excel modeling;
  • Experience in extracting meaningful insights from complex and ambiguous information;
  • Understanding of financial analysis, accounting and performance measurement;
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably Oracle NetSuite).
