Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role
Infineon Technologies is strengthening its presence in Italy and seeking a highly motivated Senior Account Field Application Engineer (FAE) to take a lead role within our Sales, Marketing, and Distribution (SMD) team, serving our worldwide automotive customers. You'll drive demand creation and deliver tailored solutions across Infineon's portfolio - from system innovation and evaluation to design and final mass production - while building trustful partnerships through excellent customer relations.
  • Be the first-level technical contact for our key Italian and EMEA automotive customers, positioning Infineon's full product portfolio across the automotive landscape
  • Drive and orchestrate design-in and support design wins and be the expert for Infineon product solutions
  • Understand and translate customers' application and product requirements into inputs for future Infineon products (move after the next point)
  • Support development of modern automotive electronic systems (E/E architectures, SDV, ECUs), guiding customers through system design and product evaluation
  • Help validate customers' applications on-site
  • Collaborate with the European FAE team, Account Management, Product Experts, and Business Lines to deliver innovative, customer-tailored solutions
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations and product/application training
Your Profile

We seek a strong mentor with excellent communication and relationship-building skills who deeply understands customer needs and brings an open, innovative mindset to uncover new ideas and opportunities. Proactive and self-directed, with strong analytical skills, you take initiative to solve complex technical problems and deliver exceptional results while inspiring and guiding teams to success.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in the semiconductor and automotive market
  • Expertise in analog products (sensors, low- and high-voltage power) and strong knowledge of automotive applications and electronic systems
  • Hands-on hardware development experience and proficiency with EDA tools
  • Demonstrated mentorship and technical leadership, and proven ability to generate business impact
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Italy and occasionally across Europe
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in Italian and English
