Job Overview:
The Broadband Operations Knowledge Specialist is responsible for driving process and data automation to improve operational efficiency, developing scripts and automated testing solutions, and supporting the monitoring of broadband services across LEO and GEO systems. The role manages and evolves technical documentation, integrates troubleshooting and escalation flows with ITSM and monitoring tools, and acts as a Level 3 reference for ISO-related documentation compliance. It also analyzes operational KPIs to identify recurring issues, proposes improvements, contributes to tooling and reporting enhancements, and ensures that operational reports and related work instructions (e.g., Tableau) remain accurate, effective, and up to date.
What You'll Do:
- Design and implement automated workflows to optimize operational processes.
- Perform post-analysis of operational data to identify trends and improve efficiency.
- Develop and maintain end-to-end automated testing frameworks for system validation.
- Create and utilize scripts for advanced data analysis and reporting.
- Provide support to the management and monitoring of broadband services on LEO and GEO satellite platforms.
- Support operational teams in maintaining service continuity and addressing issues through automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing systems
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in STEM subjects, preferably related to Telecommunications, with 2-3 years of experience in technical writing or operations management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform post-analysis and identify optimization opportunities.
- Good understanding of Incident, Event, Problem and Change Management processes, with a view on the ITIL practices
- Familiarity and experience with ITSM, business intelligence, cooperation/documentation tools, (e.g. Atlassian Confluence, Jira, Tableau, ServiceNow), and with standard business software (e.g. MS Office suite)
- Knowledge in automation of operational processes and end-to-end testing frameworks is an asset.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for data analysis and automation tasks. Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in team coordination is an asset
- Basic knowledge of UNIX Systems is a plus
- Basic knowledge of DBMS is a plus
- Knowledge of satellite operations (LEO and GEO) and monitoring tools is highly desirable
- Excellent English and Italian languages written and oral skills. French is a plus
