Come build the future of entertainment with us.Are you interested in shaping the future of movies and television?Do you want to define the next generation of how and what Amazon customers are watching?Prime Video is a premium streaming service that offers customers a vast collection of TV shows and movies - all with the ease of finding what they love to watch in one place.We are seeking a skilled Language Specialist to join our team in the Tokyo Office on a 12-month contract basis, with a focus on the German language.In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing language assets' logic and coherence, grammar and punctuation, spelling, consistency, style, language usage, and formatting, improving customer streaming experience with Amazon language solutions.Tasks may include proofreading and editing subtitles, metadata, and a variety of other written communications.IMPORTANT: This is not a remote position, you are required to work on site.Open to German applicants expected to work from the Tokyo Office.Key job responsibilitiesConduct Linguistic Quality Assurance checks on audio, subtitles, narratives, video, and artwork to ensure overall content qualitySupport the implementation of language-related processes to ensure consistency and quality of German language servicesCollaborate with team members to understand language requirements and deliver quality resultsStay current with best practices in language services, particularly related to the streaming and entertainment industryContribute to the improvement of language processes and workflowsShare knowledge and support other team members on German language-related mattersBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceExperience with Microsoft Office products and applicationsNative level proficiency in German and fluency in EnglishDemonstrated ability to work independently with moderate guidancePreferred QualificationsExperience providing German Linguistic Quality Assurance services, including translation or linguistic supportTranslation or proofreading experience in various formats, including documents and timed textsInterest in the media and entertainment industry, particularly streaming servicesGood analytical and problem-solving skillsOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.If you have a disability and need a workplace accommodation or adjustment during the application and hiring process, including support for the interview or onboarding process, please visit for more information.If the country/region you're applying in isn't listed, please contact your Recruiting Partner.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-*****-Ljbffr
