Defence Project ManagerART Group (Advanced Research Technology) is a company strongly focused on Research & Development and innovation.It delivers high-performance electronic systems and products for the Automotive, Motorcycle, Defense, and Railway sectors.In the last 20 years it has evolved from the development of telemetry systems for F1 to infotainment systems, parking systems and connected telemetry, addressing the "Luxury Car" segment.Job PurposeThe PROJECT MANAGER oversees the planning, implementation, tracking and controlling of all assigned projects which have a beginning, an end and specified deliverables, in accordance with budget, timing, quality and customer expectations.Projects assigned include both engineering development phase and production.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesIdentify the scope of the project and create the general plan of the ProjectIdentify and manage stakeholdersSupport Sales in the acquisition of new orders with preparation of project management contractual data deliverables regarding cost performance, schedule performance, risk, and technical performanceResponsible for Final Cost, Scope, Quality and Timing targets within the Project Management Company guidelinesLead Core Team members from Nomination phase until the stabilization of quality, production capacity and EOLManage planned activities through Project Reviews and the compliance with internal / customer MilestonesOrganize Team meetings in adequate frequency for each on-going project to follow targets until handover to serial productionCommunication hub to Core team and stakeholders involved in the ProjectInterface with Customers and ManagementEnsure systematic reporting to the Management about projects progress in according to company KPI and policiesManage issue logs and risk management plans in order to provide warnings of serious deviations or variations that may compromise project results and promote corrective actionsEnsure the creation and utilization of Lesson LearnedEnsure the deployment of ART Standard Product Development Methodology, Product libraries, Quality tools/methods and standardization of solutions, in collaboration with Product Development, Quality and Manufacturing DepartmentProtect confidentiality of project dataHelp build up a supportive culture of cooperation and team work with the projectManage subcontracting and purchasing efforts in relation to project successful executionResponsible for overall customer satisfactionMake critical project decisions that best balance technical performance, schedule performance, and costAvailability to travel up to 25%Skills and AbilitiesStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsDetermined and persistent characterAbility to influence, inspire and motivate project teamsAbility to lead and influence a team of multi-disciplined stakeholdersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsComfortable with managing complex stakeholder environmentsEnthusiastic and well organizedBackground and educationMaster's degree in engineering, or other related discipline (Mechanic, Electronic, Management)English Language is required as proficient10+ years of experience within the defence industry5+ years in project management or lead roleExperience in design of defence products and functionsProficiency with SAP, PowerBI, Jira, ConfluenceStrong knowledge of AS****Strong Knowledge of electronic sub systems and productsStrong knowledge of MIL-STD and MIL-HDBK military standards, Defence Quality systems and processesPreferred Qualifications10+ years of experience within the railways industry (SENIOR Profile)Experience in electronics manufacturingProject Management Professional (PMP) certification
