Role Description The Technical Account Managerin coordination with Commercial Account Manager is responsible for the sales, promotion, maintenance and development of clients in their assigned area and sector, specifically focusing on the technical aspects of the sales process.Main Activities and ResponsibilitiesDevelop effective relationships with clients and actively seek new product opportunitiesPrepare technical presentations on cosmetic formulations for the client's R&D departmentProvide technical support to the client's R&D departmentVisit clients for high-profit projects, building relationships and technical reliabilityFollow the sales cycle (proposals, samples, visits, etc.)Proactively develop new leads and monitor competitive activityRepresent suppliers and effectively exchange market information among key business partners, maintaining compliance standardsContinuously monitor the market by mapping technological innovations, regulatory updates, and relevant legislationKeep the CRM system updated, generating "Target Business Opportunities" to ensure growthWorking MethodEstablish new and maintain existing relationships with clientsOutline a clear market overview: clients, applications, and competitorsMonitor the market (products, opportunities, competitors, new suppliers, new clients, etc.)Identify potential markets in Italy for assigned productsResearch and identify potential clients for products or servicesVisit potential and existing clientsPrepare presentations explaining products to clients and prospectsManage and interpret customer requirementsProvide post-sales support and technical services, resolving customer issuesProvide technical documentation for productsCollaborate with other sales team members and technical expertsSupport marketing by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing or technical eventsProvide pre-sales technical assistance and product trainingAttend trade shows and seminars to promote products or learn about industry developmentsStay informed on industry news and trends, products, competitors, existing and emerging technologies, and the latest product line developmentsProvide the sales team with technical support on specific product lines or projects, working closely with the product management teamDevelop direct and close relationships with clients' technical teams to promote and develop the product portfolioAttend supplier training courses and seminars to improve and update personal product knowledge and application expertisePrepare technical webinars for clientsEnsure that the perspectives of clients and suppliers are a driving force behind business decisions and activitiesAnticipate and effectively meet the needs of clients and suppliers, taking responsibility for their satisfaction and loyaltyRequirements and ExperienceDegree in Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, or a related chemical fieldKnowledge of practical application in cosmetic formulationUnderstanding of principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment for designing and producing various cosmetic goodsKnowledge of the personal care market and relevant raw materialsExcellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts at an appropriate levelStrong goal-oriented mindsetHigh motivation, willingness to take initiative, curiosity, enthusiasm, open-mindedness, and ability to work in both local and international contextsWillingness to travelExcellent Knowledge of EnglishWe are committed to a diverse workforce and a culture of inclusion.Together, we are building a culture that acknowledges the unique experiences, perspectives and expertise of individuals and provides the development and growth opportunities to empower us to redefine our industry.Univar Solutions is an equal opportunity employer.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against based on their race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or other protected classification.#J-*****-Ljbffr
