DTG – Integrated Engineering SolutionsAt DTG Group, we build connections through engineering excellence.Based in Milan, the Group brings together three specialized companies in the construction sector: DEAL - Solutions that make the difference, TENSA - Your Challenges, Our Solutions, and SPIC s.r.l.Together, we deliver comprehensive structural and technological solutions for bridge construction, post-tensioning, and heavy engineering projects worldwide, combining the innovation of TENSA systems, the reliability of SPIC constructions, and DEAL's decades of experience.Each company contributes to creating a platform where technology meets precision and excellence.About the RoleThe Site Equipment Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, reliability, and operational readiness of all construction machinery and equipment used on specific Projects.The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure safe, continuous, and efficient operation of equipment supporting major civil, guideway, station, and systems construction activities.We are hiring in Milan (Italy), Castelfranco Veneto (Italy) or globally, at worldwide level.This is a job requiring international assignments.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all construction equipment on the project.Ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications, project requirements, and applicable safety regulations.Monitor equipment condition, utilization, and performance to maximize availability and minimize downtime.Supervise and coordinate mechanics, technicians, and equipment maintenance personnel across multiple work zones.Plan and schedule maintenance activities in coordination with construction teams to avoid disruption to critical project activities.Conduct routine equipment inspections and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and project standards.Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, inspections, and certifications.Manage spare parts, tools, consumables, and maintenance inventory for the project.Investigate equipment-related incidents, failures, and near misses; prepare reports and implement corrective actions.Liaise with equipment suppliers, service contractors, and vendors for specialized maintenance and technical support.Support equipment mobilization and demobilization activities, including readiness inspections and acceptance checks.Ensure compliance with project safety plans, lockout/tagout procedures, and equipment operating protocols.Provide technical input to project management regarding equipment performance, replacement needs, and maintenance costs.Equipment Scope (Typical)Lifting equipment (launching gantries, cranes, hoists, MEWPs)Concrete and civil works equipment (batching plants, pumps, compactors)Generators, compressors, and temporary power equipmentQualifications and ExperienceDiploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical or a related technical field.Minimum 10 years of experience managing construction equipment maintenance on large infrastructure or transit projects.Strong knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance, diagnostics, and reliability practices.Familiarity with construction safety standards and project-based maintenance systems is an asset.Skills and CompetenciesPreventive and corrective maintenance planningEquipment reliability and asset managementMechanical troubleshooting and diagnosticsTeam leadership and coordinationSafety compliance and risk awarenessStrong documentation and reporting skillsWorking ConditionsBased on a large, active infrastructure construction project.Requires frequent site presence across multiple work areas.Availability during critical maintenance or breakdown events.BenefitsCompetitive compensation and benefits packageLong-term career development opportunities within the Group, at international levelThis position is open to all qualified candidates regardless of gender, age, nationality, or background, in full alignment with our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
