Grand Hotel Timeo, a Belmond Hotel, is a storied Sicilian hideaway in the heart of Taormina. Adjacent to the ancient Greek Theatre, its views span majestic Mount Etna and Naxos Bay. Today, it is the perfect setting for memorable stays, enhanced by a wide array of experiences including Michelin-starred dining and exclusive concierge bookings.

Our beautiful Grand Hotel Timeo, a Belmond Hotel in Sicily is searching for a talented Events & Banqueting Coordinator to join our team of passionate professionals.

Responsibilities:

·       Receive and respond to incoming telephone calls to the Events Department in accordance with Belmond Standards, and assist with overflow for Sales & Marketing, Food & Beverage, and Executive Office.

·       Prepare accurate written correspondence including letters, contracts, reports, banquet event orders, schedule of events, printed menus, and emails using dedicated software’s and Microsoft office package.

·       Maintain and update accounts, including traces, creating and updating bookings, manipulating events in the function diary and the preparation of banquet event orders.

·       Distribute Special Event Services correspondence to the resort operating departments as required. Examples: Amenity Cards, Resume, Change Log and Banquet Events Orders.

·       Be familiar with dedicated event software to create daily and weekly events reports.

·       Help to organize the weekly meetings so that the Weekly Events Report can be shared and discussed internally to anticipates needs and actions.

·       Assure the correct execution of Daily and weekly events reports, events billing and purchase order.

The position is based in Taormina, Sicily and the contract is full time.
You must possess the legal right to work in Italy / EU.

Requirements

·       Previous experience in similar and/or related fields in a 5* Hotel.

·       Event Management experience desirable

·       Proficient in English Language

·       Fluent English and additional languages desirable 

·       Must have Typing skills, Windows XP, Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Projects
