The Business Assurance team is looking for a Business Development Manager for Italy & Adriatics market, whose mission will be to grow our revenue line for Environmental, Energy and ESG related Services within Business Assurance.
This role is responsible for developing business and supporting sales activities for clients, acting as the subject matter expert in the Environmental, Energy and ESG fields. The Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets, generating real business growth in the above sectors. S/he will have the responsibility to scout the market in search for new potential service opportunities, that will be developed by our technical experts. 

The main areas of responsibility are:

Drive the achievement of sales targets within Environmental, Energy and ESG services.  Develop business related to newly identified services, according to the Sales strategy and Regional Plan.  Define and implement plans and actions to meet sales targets.  Design a growth strategy in line with broader DNV Business Assurance Ambition scaling up potential new services in the assigned sectors. Set ambitious yet reliable goals and prioritize relevant actions to make it happen. Influence and inspire stakeholders and peers as a Italian Management Team member. Participate in working groups for the development of new services at accreditation and standardization bodies. Contribute to the establishment of trusted relationships with clients and business partners. Stimulate sales awareness by distributing technical information, answering questions, participating in customer visits, and presenting sales and marketing topics at internal meetings.  Be the focal point for all sales colleagues related to new services and new sectors, also supporting in quoting activities and sales visits, if needed. In collaboration with the Marketing & Communication Department, promote initiatives and campaigns for market development.  Participate in industry conferences and seminars to stay constantly updated on market trends. Support the Area Manager Italy & Adriatics in the definition of forecasts, Tactical Plan, KPIs, and target setting. Analyse different markets to understand trends, general outlook, development opportunities, potential customers, and competitors' strategies. Contribute to developing and maintaining a network of channels (consultants, advisory companies, freelance auditors, partners, associations, that will nurture lead generation activities.  Ensure DNV visibility, reinforce customer loyalty, and collect customer feedback contributing to customer satisfaction.  Act to ensure that brand reputation and integrity values align with DNV’s objectives, vision, and values during sales activities.  The possibility to join a worldwide business assurance market leader with strong values and commitment (We Care, We Dare, We Share). Degree in relevant disciplines such as Economics, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Energy Management or similar. Consolidated experience (at least 5-7 years) in business development or sales roles in the Environmental, Energy and/or ESG services sectors. Experience managing complex projects and creating growth strategies. In-depth knowledge of Enviromental and Energy regulations and standards. Familiarity with certification services and accreditation schemes. Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets and, in general, a goal-driven mindset Ability to work independently and to take decisions. Fluency in English - both spoken and written Availability to travel mainly domestically to meet customers and take part in meetings, conferences, and other events.
