Key Responsibilities
The Battery Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in our company’s HV Battery System Development Dept. We require skilled engineers who can lead the technical development of battery projects with customers around the world.
Design battery pack system architecture, leading the technical development of battery projects
Calculation/design of electrical and mechanical HV switch-off devices, HV conductors (including HV connection technology), BusBar
Sub-component fusing strategy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements, specifications, and performance targets.
Design and develop battery systems or sub-systems, ensuring functional, safe, and compliant solutions.
Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate technologies, materials, and components for battery systems.
Collaborate with suppliers and partners to select and qualify battery components and subsystems.
Create technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate project progress.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Technical education in Electric/Electronic Engineering or similar Minimum 2-3 years as a System/Architect Engineer within the automotive industry, previous experience in HV battery development is a strong plus Understanding of circuit design (both digital and analog), embedded circuits (SoCs, etc) and power electronics Experience in vehicle wiring and harnessing Understanding of Systems/Requirement Engineering & Tools (e.g. IBM DOORS, MicroFocus ALM) Experience 3D CAD (CATIA V5 and/or Siemens NX) is a plus Communicative, team-oriented and assertive personality Strong communication & presentation skills Vehicle development process knowledge Fluent in Italian and very good English knowledge Availability for occasional business trips EU citizenship or Full time Working Permit required
