Appointment of new Interim Executive Director 26 March 2024 The European Health Management Association is elated to appoint Federica Margheri as the new Interim Executive Director. The appointment takes effect from 25 March 2024. Federica started her career at EHMA in 2017, where she served in various senior leadership, positions including Chief Operating Officer and Director of Development, gaining a thorough understanding of EHMA strategy and core operations and strengthening solid relations with members, partners, and external stakeholders. Federica succeeds George Valiotis, who leavesthe role after four years of service. George has been a pivotal part in EHMA’s growth and we extend our deepest gratitude for his unwavering commitment, leadership, and significant contributions to our organisation. “I am honoured to have been appointed Interim Executive Director of EHMA. I look forward to continuing to work with our Members and partners to achieve our mission of excellent health management for a healthy Europe. I take the occasion to thank the former Executive Director, George Valiotis for having paved a clear path to success for this organisation. His outstanding leadership remains a source of inspiration to me and the entire organisation, and I will do my very best to uphold this legacy. Health management remains the strategic focus of EHMA because it provides guidance and leadership to administer health at the individual, organisational, and systemic level.
