Digital Communications Officer

We are looking for a part-time Digital Communications Officer to join our Italian team on a maternity cover contract. In this role, you will help us strengthen our online presence and visibility by managing our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) and ensuring our website remains up to date and easy to discover. More and more people are becoming aware of the challenges our oceans face — but awareness alone isn't enough. You will report to the Senior Communications Manager, Italy but you'll have the chance to collaborate with colleagues. We're looking for someone with: Responsibilities Manage our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) to strengthen online presence and engagement. Keep the MSC website up to date and easy to discover (content updates, basic SEO considerations). Create compelling content (video, posts, campaigns) that promotes sustainable fishing and ocean health. Collaborate with the Senior Communications Manager, Italy and cross-functional teams to support campaigns. Qualifications A post-graduate degree and/or proven experience in social media management (IG, FB, YouTube) and online advertising. Strong content creation and video editing skills. Experience of website management (e.g., WordPress) and SEO principles. A creative, proactive, and organised mind with excellent communication skills. A passion for sustainability and an interest in the health of the world's oceans.
