In the role of Pastry Commis at Castello di Casole, a Belmond Hotel, you will support the Pastry team in delivering refined dessert experiences that reflect the hotel's farm‑to‑table philosophy and commitment to quality. Working alongside experienced pastry professionals, you will contribute to the preparation and presentation of desserts and baked goods, while developing your technical skills in a structured, high‑standard kitchen environment. Responsibilities Support the Pastry team in the daily preparation and presentation of desserts, pastries, and baked goods Assist in basic food preparation tasks, ensuring consistency and adherence to established recipes Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in line with hygiene and safety standards Follow HACCP, health, and safety regulations at all times, reporting any issues when identified Collaborate with kitchen colleagues to ensure smooth service and efficient workflow Requirements Previous experience or training in pastry or bakery, preferably in a professional kitchen environment Passion for pastry arts and a strong interest in developing technical skills Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment Good communication skills and openness to learning and receiving feedback Attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude Benefits At Belmond, we pride ourselves on fostering a culture built on kindness, active listening, and genuine connections with our colleagues and guests.
