As a key HR Business Partner, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and enhance the employee experience while driving business success in a dynamic, results-oriented environment. Collaborating closely with business leaders and the wider HR function, you will lead transformative initiatives in talent acquisition, cultural evolution, inclusion, performance and talent management, employee relations, total rewards, and organizational effectiveness. This is an exciting opportunity to influence strategy, foster growth, and contribute to improving lives through innovation in the diabetes field.Reporting to the Vice President of HR, you will provide strategic partnership and hands‑on support to our commercial structure across Southern Europe, Israel, and Scandinavia. Based in Milan, Italy, you will manage a remote sub‑regional team while directly supporting senior business leaders and employee populations within your region. This position offers a collaborative, international environment where you can make a tangible difference, working for a business committed to empowering people with diabetes through meaningful innovation and support.This position is an exciting opportunity to work with Medtronic's Diabetes business. Medtronic has announced its intention to separate the Diabetes division to promote future growth and innovation within the business and reallocate investments and resources across Medtronic, subject to applicable information and consultation requirements. This separation provides our team with a bold opportunity to unleash our potential, enabling us to operate with greater speed and agility. As a separate entity, we anticipate leveraging increased investments to drive meaningful innovation and enhance our impact on patient care. Our HR team will play a pivotal role in the journey to become a standalone company.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned :Organization, Talent, and Culture Planning : Collaborate with Business Leaders across the region to provide high-impact HR solutions. Support critical HR processes, including workforce planning, compensation reviews, performance management partnership with the HR COEs. Communicate and implement proactive strategies pertaining to employee retention and engagement, succession planning in support of strategic objectives. Work with leaders to foster a positive and inclusive organizational cultureChange Management / Organization Effectiveness : Support organizational change initiatives and provide guidance on change management processTalent and Leadership Development : Partners with Global Talent Development on strategies to develop and enhance business and technical capabilities for the employee population to include knowledge enhancement, career and leadership developmentTalent Acquisition : Support Leaders and the Talent Acquisition COE to identify and staff critical roles, build organization capabilities, and bench strengthEmployee Relations & Communications : Partner with the Employee Relations COE and leaders to anticipate, identify and facilitate resolution of employee relations issuesInclusion, Diversity, Equity : Champion ID&E efforts to ensure a diverse and inclusive workforce. Partner with HR and leadership to develop and implement ID&E initiativesHR Data Analytics : Detect organizational trends and alert HR partners to enable appropriate actions. Use HR data to measure progress and provide insights for data‑driven decision‑making. Provide regular updates to stakeholders to communicate program progress and outcomes.Required Knowledge and ExperienceBachelor’s degree and 7+ years of progressive HR experienceMinimum 3 years of experience managing remote teamsPrevious experience in multinational matrixed environmentProven positive track record of working with business leadersAbility to analyze complex data and drive fact‑based decision makingStrong coaching, consulting and influencing skills.The ideal candidate holds an MBA or related business degree and has a proven track record of implementing HR programs in a fast‑paced global environment. Experience in the medical device, technology, healthcare, or consumer products industries, as well as with commercial and R&D teams, is a plus. They possess strong expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness, and are skilled at collaborating across global, matrixed organizations and managing diverse stakeholders.
