**YOUR TEAM**

You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where physicists, chemists, biologists, biotechnologists, as well as materials, chemical, mechanical, electronic, and biomedical engineers, collaborate, use, and expand their own expertise, to carry out common research.

Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:

- Development of large-scale sensors based on fluorescent nanoparticles on selected supports.
- Study of sensor emission variations in the presence of nanoparticulate pollutants of various dimensions
- Study of the ability of the optical sensor to provide distinct fluorescence characteristics in the vicinity of various nanoparticulate pollutants.
- Characterization and testing of the developed sensor.
- Sensor validation in the presence of aerosol nanoparticles
- Use of state-of-the-art instrumentation like spray coating, screen-printing, spectrophotometry, electronic microscopy, fluorescent microscopy, etc.
- Protection of created intellectual property by patents.

**WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE**
- A PhD in one of the following areas: Physics, Materials Science, Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, and similar disciplines with postdoctoral experience up to 3 years.
- Experience with nanomaterials development and testing.
- Experience in environmental sensing.
- Experience with morphological, and spectroscopic characterization techniques.
- The ability to properly organize and report experimental data.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
