**YOUR TEAM**

You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where computer scientists with different backgrounds collaborate, each with their own expertise, to pursue a common target. The activity will be carried out at the “Data Science and Computation Facility” which is coordinated by Dr. Sergio Decherchi, within the recently established IIT-Dompè joint laboratory, which also involves the “Atomistic Simulation” (Prof. Michele Parrinello) and “Pattern Analysis and Computer Vision” (Dr. Alessio Del Bue) Research Lines.

Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:

- Developing state of the art scoring methods for protein ligand binding
- Developing fast and approximate free energy methods for protein ligand binding
- Using and modifying molecular dynamics engines to support the developed methods/protocols
- Developing hybrid physics-based machine learning methods for drug discovery

**WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE**
- PhD in Machine Learning, or in Physics
- Documented experience in computational chemistry/physics or machine learning
- Documented development experience in modifying MD engines
- Documented development experience in major deep learning frameworks (e.g. pytorch)
- The ability to properly report, organize and present data
- Fulfill deadlines, being goal oriented and accountable
- Good command in spoken and written English

**EXTRA AWESOME**
- Joint experience in deep learning and computational physics/chemistry for drug discovery including experience in enhanced sampling methods, implicit and explicit solvent simulations
- Good communication skills
- High motivation to learn
- Spirit of innovation and creativity, willing to create tangible value out of theoretical tools
- Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
