Located in the iconic Piazzetta in the heart of Portofino, Belmond Splendido Mare reopens its doors to our guests in April 2021, following a total renovation.

Our guests can choose from 14 rooms and suites completely reimagined in style, as well as have access to our exclusive restaurant including an elegant indoor dining room and a terrace in the centre of Portofino life.

Belmond Splendido Mare is looking for a Chef de Partie Pastry, to join our DaV Mare Team and be able to offer high levels of service to our guests in a familiar and welcoming atmosphere, respecting their privacy and anticipating their needs.

DaV Mare Restaurant was born from the collaboration between Belmond and the Cerea family of Da Vittorio, a renowned starred restaurant in the Bergamo area.

He/She will report directly to Pastry Junior Sous Chef.

**Main duties & responsabilities**:

- Maintain safety, health and hygiene standards in all areas of the kitchen.
- To prepare food and provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to all the customers (both internal and external)
- Produce all necessary food for all food service operations as required and as instructed by the Sous Chef
- Ensure that the quality & quantity standards of preparations and presentations are adhered to.

**Requirements**:

- At least 2 years of experience in a similar similar position within a similar luxury restaurant
- Basic knowledge of cooking styles, equipments and raw materials processing techniques
- Passion for service and ambition to grow professionally
- Good communication skills.

**Other requirements**:

- Effective communication: communicate clearly and in an appropriate manner (both verbally and non-verbally).
- Emotional intelligence: demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and emotions of guests and colleagues and adjust his/her style to them. Manage own emotions in challenging situations.
- Adaptability: identify when a different approach is needed and offer solutions. Try and adopt new ways of doing things.
- Collaboration: be able and willing to work as a team player. Share information and skills and actively seek and provide feedback.
