We are looking for a Business Development Manager for our Agricultural & Environmental Solutions department.

Reports to: Regional Business Manager Azelis Italy

Location: Home-based responsible for Italian & International business customers

Mission

To lead and promote sales and business development of the Agrochemical business in Italy and other Countries, implementing the appropriate strategy as defined by Regional Business Manager in agreement with Corporate strategies and in collaboration with local Sales Managers

To develop and expand both product and customer portfolio thru customer oriented projects

To attract International and local principals based on existing business opportunities

Principal Accountabilities- Manage and develop the A&ES sales across assigned territories in order to generate sales and margin growth in line with agreed business strategy.- Understand customer needs regarding current portfolio and future development opportunities, making regular visits to maintain and build relationships with key contacts, both commercial and technical.- Report regularly on accomplished visits using company tools (CRM) and listing business opportunities and follow-up actions.- Gather, analyze, interpret and present market, products, competitors and industry data to enable development of the business strategy.- Fine tune marketing and communication plans looking to local A&ES business needs- Set and agree, in collaboration with SM, annual sales budget in line with business strategy as defined by RBM in agreement with MSD strategy.- To take part in monthly/quarterly business performance reviews- Proactively monitor and review customer payment terms ensuring that they are appropriate and respected in order to minimize Company risk. Ensure that payment terms and cash flow implications are considered at the time of negotiation for all new and existing businesses.

Special Features

The role is designed to develop a substantial business within the A&ES sub-segments as per below definitions:
- Crop Protection- Crop Nutrition- Seed Treatment

The resource is required to have several years’ experience in the chemical industry with a strong technical & commercial background.

Knowledge of surfactant and formulation chemistries as well as of the Agro market would be an advantage.
