Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Alstom in Rome. The successful candidate will provide technical support to maintenance activities on Railway Signalling Systems operated by our domestic and international customers.
The role includes managing warranty obligations on projects and coordinating with other Alstom functions, such as System and Product, Application Engineering, Industrialization, and Supply Chain departments.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Defining and implementing maintenance and technical assistance plans;
- Coordinating and supporting maintenance technicians on site;
- Providing performance and log analysis;
- Executing and supervising hardware and software retrofit and upgrade plans;
- Supporting the Service Signalling Platform organization in defining maintenance strategies in tenders and offers;
- Cooperating with product engineering in defining maintainability requirements during the product design phase.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor/Master degree in Electronics/Electric/Telecommunications Engineering and excellent knowledge of electronic design principles and methodologies. Proficiency in operating systems, such as Unix and Ms-Windows, and net protocols, such as TCP/IP, is also required.
The position requires excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in Italian and English, with a good level of French being desirable. The candidate should be able to work in a team, have a problem-solving attitude, and be able to perform analysis and relate information from different contexts.
