About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Rome. As a key member of our Services Signalling Platform Organisation, you will be responsible for providing technical support to maintenance activities on Railway Signalling Systems operated by our domestic and international customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Definition and implementation of Maintenance and technical assistance plans;
  • Coordination and support to maintenance technicians on field;
  • Provision of performances and log analysis;
  • Provision of structured "return of experience" process by: reporting, statistics, etc;
  • Execution and supervision of HW and SW retrofit and upgrade plans;
  • Provision of support to Service Signalling Platform organisation in the definition of maintenance strategy in tenders and offers;
  • Cooperation with product engineering in the definition of maintainability requirements during the product's design phase.
Requirements
  • Bachelor/Master degree in Electronics/Electric/Telecommunications Engineering;
  • Capability to interpret electric drawings and schemes;
  • Knowledge of electronic design principles and methodology;
  • Knowledge of the most common operating systems (Unix, Ms-Windows, ...);
  • Knowledge of the most common net protocols (TCP/IP, ...);
  • Knowledge of RAM analysis methodology;
  • Capability to use test tools (oscilloscope, wave generator, multimeter, etc...);
  • Basic knowledge of railway systems and/or transportation systems would be a plus.
Competencies and Experience
  • Capability of synthesis and related written exposure;
  • Capability to perform analysis and to relate information from different contexts;
  • Capability to work in a team and attitude to problem solving;
  • New graduate or one/two years of experience in electronic or electromechanical company;
  • Hardware and firmware design;
  • Knowledge of on-site or remote technical assistance for Electronic/Electromechanical applications.
