Postdoctoral Researcher in Bioinformatics

We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher in Bioinformatics to join our team at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia. As a member of our research group, you will be working on a project focused on understanding how non-coding elements and their epigenetic/epitranscriptomics modifications regulate 3D genome architecture and gene expression in stem cells and cancer models.
Key Responsibilities- Analysis of next-generation sequencing data and integration of multi-omics data produced by different methods using computational tools and pipelines
- Interpretation of data and generation of figures for grant proposals and publications in peer-reviewed journals
- PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science or a related field
- Knowledge of programming languages such as R and Python and statistical methods applied to biosciences
- Proven ability to analyze next-generation sequencing data such as RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, etc.
- Ability to work and think independently with a pro-active attitude, prone to team building and problem solving
- Strong publication record
- Good command of spoken and written English
