We are seeking a highly skilled Global Media Relations Manager to join our Global Communications Team at Angelini Pharma.
Purpose
The Global Media Relations Manager will be responsible for maintaining the excellent name and reputation of Angelini Pharma amongst key stakeholders and citizens at a global and European level.
This will be achieved by disseminating correct information both at corporate and business level, and diminishing the impact of unfortunate or untruthful news related to the organization.
The Global Media Relations Manager will cultivate and manage relationships with media to serve the purpose, vision, and mission of Angelini Pharma, and contribute to supporting the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team in their relationship with the media.
The Global Media Relations Manager will also coordinate media relations in the countries where Angelini Pharma operates, together with local Communication and the International Communication function.
Key Responsibilities- Developing written materials, including press releases, Q&A, opinion editorial, media standby statements, and factsheets on brand and corporate issues as required.
- Building relationships with key media contacts at global and European level, especially in the Pharma sector.
- Identifying opportunities to proactively pitch brand and corporate stories through media outlets as appropriate.
- Managing crisis communication, including updating the media crisis management plan and playbook, assisting in the development and implementation of the crisis management plan, and developing written materials such as issue statements, Q&A, and briefing for leaders/managers in relation to communication towards media.
- Supporting scientific communication, including developing written materials, identifying opportunities to proactively pitch brand stories through media outlets and social media, and organizing media presence at main congresses and other scientific events.
- Providing and supporting the diffusion of global guidelines on relationships with media, organizing media training and ad hoc briefing, and supporting the writing of opinion editorial, articles, and interviews.
- Number of clippings at European level.
- Quality of coverage (Tier 1).
- CEO and Executive Leadership Team feedback.
- Medical department feedback.
- 8-10 years of experience in global media relations.
- High level of knowledge of pharma media at European level.
- 8-10 years of proven experience in crisis management.
- Native English.
- Attitude to teamwork.
We offer a permanent contract.
Workplace: Rome or London.
