About the Role

Vestas is seeking a skilled Bid Manager to join our Construction Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate construction bids that meet customer expectations and company targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the construction bid response process, collaborating with the Construction team and Vestas functions to ensure alignment between bids, customer expectations, and company targets.
  2. Assess construction scope and develop tactical plans to optimize construction proposals and provide clarification to customers.
  3. Collaborate with Construction departments and other Vestas functions to budget and plan projects, ensuring competitive cost alignment within project strategy and business constraints.
  4. Ensure approved construction budgets and project programs are included in proposals.
  5. Maintain an overview of major construction risks during the sales phase, implementing lessons learned from previous projects.
  6. Report, analyze, and evaluate post- and pre-calc results to optimize cost and profitability of Vestas projects.
  7. Support the approval of Contract Execution Packages (CEPs) in collaboration with Sales Management and the Regional Head of Construction.
  8. Participate in business improvement initiatives to develop value-added solutions for Vestas and its customers.
Requirements
  1. Technical degree in Engineering, Construction, Logistics, or a related field.
  2. Relevant Project Management certification (PMP or similar).
  3. 3-5 years of experience in Project Management in the energy sector, with a preference for renewables.
  4. Commercial acumen and experience in working with bids and negotiations.
  5. Fluent in Italian and English, with a second European language (French, Portuguese, Spanish) being an asset.
  6. Proficiency in MS Excel, DDBB, SAP, and Power BI.
  7. Strong business understanding, data analysis, and negotiation skills.
  8. Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  9. Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and prioritize multiple projects.
  10. Risk management, problem-solving, and judgment capabilities.
